Jessica Jean Worrell of Geneva, NY and Corey Wesley Burns of Elmira, NY became engaged on July 12, 2009 Jessica and Corey will be married on August 13, 2010
Ourr Engagement: Corey and I met at a state-wide training for work in Buffalo, NY. For my 25th birthday, Corey took me away for the weekend to the place we first met. We left on the 11th and returned home on the 12th, my birthday. When we pulled up to the house, I noticed tons of cars. Corey had planned a surprise birthday party for me with his family and mine. When it came time for birthday cake, Corey carried it out. He walked up to me, cake in hand, got down on one knee and showed me the cake. Written on the cake was "Will you marry me?" with a beautiful ring on a bed of frosted flowers. It took me by such surprise that I didn't answer! Corey then asked out loud if I would marry him and of course I said YES! :)

Bond-Strange 8/28/10
Jessica B Bond of Gillet, PA and Nathan W Strange of Mansfield, PA will be married ion August 28, 2010 in Mansfield, PA Their wedding reception will be held in Elmira. Jessica & Nathan became engaged on Dec 24, 2007.
How Jessica and Nathan Met:
Jessica was a cashier at Wal-Mart and was, at the time, in a relationship. Nathan went through her line with some clients from work one night and introduced himself. He became a regular. One night, he went through her line, as usual, and Jessica informed him of her recent breakup. After making his purchase, he asked for her number. She wrote it on the back of his receipt and continued to wait on the customer behind him. Nathan left the store, but came back only seconds later. He asked, "What time do you get done with work?" She told him 11pm. He then questioned, "Would you like to go out after work?" She nodded. That was their first official date.
How They Got Engaged:
They were supposed to go to Jessica's grandparents' house for Christmas Eve dinner. Nate picked her up from work and were on their way. Jessica walked inside, and her grandma wouldn't let her leave the dining room. She turned around and looked at Nate. He motioned for her to look back towards the living room. She did and saw Brian, Nate's brother. Jess instantly thought that he rode along with Nate, but then realized that he wasn't in the car with them. :-) She looked back at Nate all confused, and then back towards the living room again. This time she saw Nate's parents (Mom-in-law with camera in hand), her family (Pop Pop and Mom with cameras), and of course Nate's brother again. Jessica looked at Nate and he said, "You might want to sit here". She sat in the same seat she was in the very night they became a couple two years ago. She sat down, and he got down on one knee. He then asked her to marry him. All she could do was nod up and down. She grabbed ahold of him and started crying. Jess could hear her mom in the background, "I think we need a verbal answer!!". lol She, of course, said yes.
